Born 1967 in Toronto, Ontario, Canada of Maltese, German & French descent I took to the arts early, moving through different ages in different creative diciplines. Photography started at age 12 taking focus into my 20s, working in darkrooms, colour, black & white. The years 1987-1993 saw a spotlight in music when I studied classical music at The University of Toronto, played in ensembles, bands, and worked in the music industry, The start of 1997 saw graphic design become my primarary creative dicipline and has taken me to various advertising agencies working as a graphic designer/creative director in both Germany and Canada.

Having worked in the various arts allows me to draw as a photographer from the different creative perspectives and emotions, creating a piece that speaks the moment and its story with its own voice. music allowed me to learn emotions and to paint with them, work as a graphic designer developed the feeling for detail, the voice of colour, contrast, the optic of position & crop, with a blend of typographical finesse. Photography is when I bring them together, the instant creative emotion with the stillness of detail and composition. Fine art photography takes me into the sensual world where the creation of the image is the senses, the emotion of the moment, the awareness of all that is around, on the street, in the room, the studio, all over, everywhere, of being there with a click of immortality.

A photo must have a life of its own, a voice with which it speaks, and so I give it voice.
